An overnight walking marathon through the streets of the capital by participants in decorated bras took place earlier this month to raise money for breast cancer.
The MoonWalk, organised by the Walk the Walk charity, aims to raise money and awareness for cancer research, as well as encourage people of all ages and abilities to set themselves achievable fitness goals by walking more.
According to the World Cancer Research Fund, 27% of breast cancers could be avoided with changes to lifestyle, 7% simply by being more active.
Founder and CEO of Walk the Walk Nina Barough CBE, said: “Whilst we continue to raise money for those living with cancer, and we continue to research certain aspects, we are very focused on prevention.”
